Join us for an online Go Tournament in the months of April and May. We'll be playing 5 paired rounds beginning April 11th and wrapping up by May 15th. This is a free event, but trophies will be awarded (by mail), and results will be posted on this website. Additionally, all players who complete all 5 games will be mailed a Go book of their choice. A web page listing available titles will be posted during the last week of the tournament.

All games will be played online on a mutually agreed upon service such as KGS. These will not be AGA rated games. Pairings will be posted on April 11, 18, 25, and May 2 and 9. We'll use OpenGotha tournament software to make pairings with manual fine-tuning as needed. View pairings and results at www.trianglegoclub.org/onlineresults0421.htm.

AGA members may enter at their AGA rating, but if you've improved significantly please adjust your entry rating accordingly. If you are not an AGA member, please join! Non-AGA members should provide their best estimates of their actual rating.

Handicaps will be suggested at pairing but may be negotiated between players. Both players must agree to any change to handicaps, and if agreement cannot be reached the handicap should remain as suggested. If handicaps are set differently than the OpenGotha suggestion, both players should detail the change when they report their game results. Some time limits should be in place, but they can be determined by mutual agreement of the players. Suggested traditional time limits are 45 minutes main time with 5 30 second periods of byo yomi.

There are no entry fees for this event. Game results should be emailed to Bob by both game participants, and results will be posted online at www.trianglegoclub.org/onlineresults0421.htm
